Waypoint on my path to study painting. Study on how to continue from having figured out and plotted out the basic form and values. The key was in thinking about local contrast and level of detail/edges in places I want to have attention paid to. I got to learn and you got an elegant kobold.

This is a coloring technique study. Pose and light interpreted from works of Reagan Long. I think they are BeaganBong on bsky? I admire how they paint so I want to understand that. This is the worksafe version of the illustration. Finished not perfect

Tailchaser here after a long hiatus since last Tailchaser pic. First digital one.

I decided to go with grayscale (and those with sharp eyes see that it actually isn't) just to try out if I had learned anything with colour works. I'd say "yes" to some. There are a lot of things still to figure out.

Putting the "meaningful practise" hours in and trying to get familiar with the tools, techniques and workflow. I should propably draw more mechs or mech related things... But... I don't know why this specific furry cheetah has kept my drive to draw up. 🤔 Should try to get some Tailchaser art out.

It is missing spots, there are still some other details missing but I was just so happy how it looks at glance. It has such a good read that I had to post this! I´ll continue with this from here on.

Happy accident. Was trying to draw a pose like this with open wizard robes. Lots of different sketch phases combined and then I did lineart. Lineart was very thin and scraggy but it helped with actual coloring. Now that I goth the robes plotted out, I turned off the lineart. Tadaa!

Fran the Birdbrain, again. Took a lot of work, learned a lot what to do and what not to. Don't really like how the face looks, nor the feet. However I find it is better to try out something you are not familiar with and learn from there. Anyway! Enjoy!

As I seem to be in some sort of drawing flow state, I've been working. Yet again, the subject is Fran. This time with a bit different approach. I also learned few nice features in Krita (Groups with Alpha inheritance -> Clone Layer on which filters can be applied). Intuitive for my brain. Dem hips!

Fran again! I think I managed to tune colour calibration on Cintiq towards right direction. Otherwise this is a bit of mix and match of many things that do not really work together but as a practise piece this is just fine. Inspiration by Ashraely's work again. Tons of small mistakes 🧡

Fran yet again. This is colouring study. Stumbled upon a work by Ashraely and wanted to try out similar colouring style so went with it. Pose is also from there.

Drew an anthro Cheetah (named Fran). I got an inspiration by seeing one of schewiener's (PGM300?) commission works so went with the flow and ended up with this.

I did not notice that hair artifact. Oh well. I'll fix it for the actual gif. Also, transparensy doesn't seem to work here.🤔

I wanted to have a "stream is still running" animation for Picarto. Here is Jinoara Yarhu, my OC from the time I played FFXIV. Even though I've not had the interest of getting back in the game, Jinoara has stayed with me.

If bsky is going forward with censorship practices based on input from 14k users (that is 4 orders of magnitude less than their actual number of users) thus enforcing censorship on NSFW and freedom of expression... I'm leaving yet again. Solution seems to be to create my own site for my art.🛤️

An evening doodle while I was watching Discount Tukayyid games. Earlier today I listened to a BPL podcast episode where Eldonius Rex was being interviewed. He mentioned that his knowledge in art made it possible to draw mechs with flow and motion. That made me to think: Should I try to use mine?

I have not played with Shindenbutai yet. Quite a lot with the Ooban (old NA2 JSA) though. I love to see that Raidens are now back in the game. They were a thing way back when JSA was part of Yu-JIng. Happy hunting with your choice of faction. 🥰

I'm currently fooling around with OSSS and dual Marut.

I've been drawing quite lot lately. Just not many inked works. Pencil has been the tool of late. Most of the works are more like going through the joy of drawing while not really thinking of what to draw. Seems that the subject matter has been Jinoara mostly (OC). Non-canon, yet joy to draw.

Been a while since I posted any Tailchaser art. Wanted to create a kind of badge. Was thinking of adding text around the ring or on the background but I'd rather explore that out digitally without spoiling the actual drawing. Did some fixes on the original after taking the photo.

I've gotten the impression overall during past year on different platforms that pencil art never really catches attention. Inked work does better and greatest attention can be had with colored work, unless the inked/pencil work is exceptional. Just a thought. Here is a shorstack something.

Pencil drawing. Just wanted to try to draw the same character as yesterday but as a chibi character. Instead it turned into a shortstack and from behind. After taking the photo and did some horizontal flipping I noticed that the balance is off. Oh well. At least I drew something. :)

Originally this was just a doodle. As I continued constructing the body I remembered a Cyberpunk RED character that I did not have art for. So I went with that. A Medtech with Demonique™️ Exotic Package with not much else gear to go with. Style over substance.

Shaped the dowels, reamed the bench part for those dowels. Made mistakes. Fixed mistakes. Glued the whole thing together, made mistakes with gluing, disassembled it and made quick fixes. Then reassembled...

Drew this janitor. I got inspired from a round of SS14. She has pants.

Been doing woodworking. Making dowels for chair legs without a lathe is a skill that I need to hone.

Drew this few days ago. Tried to go with more curvature for the pose as I have a habit to draw more rigid poses. Drawing evolved in the process many times. Mistakes were made and lessons learned.

Wanted to draw something from low angle. Didn't really know what it will be so I just kept doodling. This is the result. It has issues with angle and balance. However, it was fun to draw and I learned something new. :)

Talked with 92 yo grandmother. Kernel of our chat: "Acknowledge what is coming, face it when it comes. Meanwhile, enjoy the day." From what I know of her history, I think she knows what she is talking about.

Anyway! Here is a drawing! It is not Frankie even though hairstyle was an inspiration.

Doing type(setting?) with shaky hands results in illegible difficult to read text. Drawback of doing exercise and wanting to draw soon after. 😀
