7. Tron Ares - Let’s just leave Tron be. Great visuals but that’s all the films got going for it

4. Roofman - Was fun, and a crazy true story but has tough competition to make it higher this month.

5. Chainsaw Man - Animation was outstanding but kinda all it had going for it.

6. Smashing Machine - Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt put on a great front but I just didn’t enjoy the story

1. I Swear - I just loved every second of this film. It had so much heart.

2. Bugonia - Just fun, crazy and the characters are great! Loved the twisty plot!

3. Good Fortune - Give me Keanu Reeves any day. I was constantly lagging though this. It was just a good time with a heart felt plot line

End of the month and just saw my last film of October at the cinema so here’s my ranking:

Ok so I’ve really neglected this app for a good few months so I think I need to make a comeback and talk about films 👌🏻

I love this film! Sad it came out during the Covid era so never got a cinema release here in the UK!

Duffer brothers are obsessed with staying in the 80’s and they’ve always said that for the show, they wouldn’t be taking it elsewhere but come on. The cast are playing 10 years younger than they are

The way I’d of done it, knowing the cast would age out, would be end things at S3 and make it feel like an IT type of scenario, like everything is good and seems resolved then years later (now) come back with S4, set in the 90’s where they all come back to stop everything for good

My issue with the show (like most I feel) is that it’s gone on too long. Not that it’s had TOO many seasons, it’s just taken so long to get to here.

The cast have aged out of the roles they’re trying to play and the 80’s aesthetic (started by ST) isn’t a thing anymore, we’ve moved into 90/00’s

So Stranger Things final season episodes are going to be between 90-120 minutes and I’m not all far that despite being a fan since the beginning

Last season was the first one I felt a real struggle to get through and I’ve been a fan since the start of the show. Well over an hour of each episode is insane, the pacing is going to be horrible and it’s just been so long

And I really didn’t like that ending. Is it a cliffhanger or was it all part of what was going on. The story overall just felt like it was figuring things out as it went on. Heck, we don’t even have a guaranteed season 2

Just finished Marvel Zombies and, well, didn’t love it. The animation is incredible but the story just felt like it lacked. I would of preferred if they’d gone down the route of adapting the comic story of how it all began leading into the What If episode

Currently watching this one right now, kinda funny how the camera quality jumps up to cinematic levels

But I will say, Paranormal Activity Next of Kin is a great rerun (just sadly they never did another after this)

Takes the story and setting in a different direction and brings in the creepy scare factor 👌🏻

By painful I mean Paranormal Activity 4 and Ghost Dimension! They both try and do ‘weird’ stuff using technology rather than actual scares and my god the camera that can see ghosts in Ghost Dimension, this franchise just fell apart!

Been rewatching the Paranormal Activity films. Some of them are great to rewatch whilst others are so painful!

Also I have no Internet and won’t have any for another few weeks……it’s killing me! How did I cope in the 90/00’s with no internet??

Yeah that’s why I wouldn’t ever call it out like that because like you said, both sides can be extremely bad at times and the tribalism is ridiculous. I understand it’s 2 different products but at the end of the day, they both come back to wrestling

Yeah totally agree, what my original post is sort of getting at is, people are so quick to block when all I’ve done is say ‘watching WWE’, I now and again watch AEW but they’re so fast to block. I’m the same I just mute what I don’t want to see but I more so just scroll past instead

Yup I’ve seen plenty of them and that including other things like films and other spots, just hate the fandom side of things. Takes a lot of enjoyment out of it when you have groups like those

Nah I totally get they’re 2 very different products BUT what Im getting at is at the end of the day it’s still wrestling in a nutshell. Thats where I’m saying why does the hate stem so much that I post ‘watching WWE’ so get a slew of AEW fans block me (I’m sure the same goes for ‘I’m watching AEW’)

I think it’s partly due to Marvel dominating cinema over the last decade. So many of their films earned a billion so it’s now seen as the goal post when really the goal is to make some money back. It’s all any news outlet says now about a film when I think just go see it and either enjoy it or don’t

Yep it’s weirdly exactly like that, despite all those people enjoying the same thing, wrestling? I’ll never understand the hate towards one group because they support X while the other supports Y, like I said both X and Y actually like the same thing???
