If kids eat, then they can more easily learn. The conservatives don't want them to learn. Education leads to liberal leanings. It is about way more than filling empty tummies. Sadly.

It's free. It's going outside, spending time reading together, getting enough sleep...recognizing your emotions and what is causing it, deep breathing, etc. It can be easily be added to health class, reading/English, etc. It is very simple stuff that you don't need any schooling to be able to do it.

Wild imaginations. We can't get Americans of any sort to go into the industrial arts. HVAC, electricians, etc. are retiring and no one is stepping up to fill their shoes. It is easy work with decent pay but no one wants to do it. Same as factory work. We aren't a factory-driven country anymore.

Some people didn't have access to computers or feel any need to have them in their lives. Around here they stopped teaching kids how to use computers so there's a whole bunch of kids coming out of high school with no idea how to use one. It is a massive problem.
