I had a MASSIVE anaphylactic reaction to antibiotics recently, and was rushed to the local hospital and straight into emergency care. I only have bits and pieces of memory loosely stitched together for those few hours. It still makes more sense than whatever this is.

My counterpoint to anyone complaining that: "Shops are putting christmas stuff out too early, it's getting earlier every year...."

But the line from the intro expressly states "and they never returned" past tense, then at the end the same narrator specifically describes their return. The fact that it's supposed to be some kind of meta inside joke doesn't make it any less weird.

I'll take your word for it, I've not seen it. Most references are fun for viewers with context, and invisible for viewers without. Without context, this is really kinda patronising. It didn't need explaining, it's all on the screen. And it's still factually incorrect.

I HATED the voice over at the beginning. The visuals tell the story perfectly. I will bet any money that it was added in post, Blade Runner style because an exec thought the audiences would be too stupid to get it. Also, it's narratively incorrect, considering there's another at the end.

None of the Capcom games have them either 🤷‍♂️ They're still great.
