US-backed Syria fighters hope Trump won't repeat "painful experience" "We believe that President Trump's view now is different from what it was before," Syrian Democratic Council's Sinam Mohamad said.

The last time Trump was in office, he green-lit Turkey’s 2019 invasion of NE Syria, which led to mass displacement, ethnic cleansing of Kurds, and a brutal occupation that lasts to this day.
