I served nearly 60 years there, my sons hated being dragged up there on a Sunday morning and wife was very unimpressed but I loved it. Titchwell and Holme are my local patch nowadays but always check to see what’s at the res.

Castle Rising near King’s Lynn on 25/26 June. 764/105 Tops was Bird-cherry Ermine with 307. Notable records included Scarlet Tiger (5) and Beautiful Snout, the fourth for Norfolk. There were ten Scarlet Tigers two nights before.
More punishment tonight!!! 😂😂

Castle Rising, Norfolk moth trap last night. 95/42 including 15 NFY best of which was this Gold Spot. Also two Yellow-legged Clearwing to lure.

The juvenile Glaucous Gull was still between Old Hunstanton and Holme this morning. Along with six Shorelarks and a few Snow Buntings. Red Kite also scavenging on the beach.

Just 10/4 here in Castle Rising, NW Norfolk. The lowest since I’ve lived here. The best was a single Pine Carpet.
