No brand should still be advertising on a platform whose AI tool is being investigated for creating non-consensual sexualised images of real people, including child sexual abuse material.

Oak National Academy have paused their advertising on X - and other brands should follow suit.

And in the meantime a huge thankyou for making the effort to contact them! Time and again we've seen that it really can make a difference when a company hears directly from a customer that this is important to them - even if they're reluctant to make this clear publicly! /5

'Chris Banatvala, Ofcom’s founding director of standards, who drafted its code and investigation procedures, said he was β€œastounded” by Ofcom’s decision'.
The UK broadcasting regulator won't hold GB News to their legal responsibilities.
Like having an equality body that doesn't protect minorities

With this, @ofcom.bsky.social seem painfully ill-equipped to do the job it has been tasked with by Parliament.

On top of this, Ofcom has a legal obligation to ensure that the broadcasters it regulates comply with their code. A failure to identify breaches and take appropriate action against GB News would amount to a failure in fulfilling its statutory duties.

Amid a global misinformation crisis, where toxic messages can spread to millions within hours, the UK is in urgent need of a regulator that is willing and able to act robustly and with speed.

09.02.2026 18:39 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The guest was quoting a Tweet, which contained the word, and expressed disagreemment with the content.

Ofcom held them in breach under 1.14 and 2.3 (β€œmaterial which may cause offence”).

2.3 is what Stop Funding Hate filed the Ofcom complaints under about the Trump interview.

09.02.2026 18:39 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So, what does it take for Ofcom to take action? Well, apparently, swearing.

In the same bulletin where they announced they reject complaints regarding the Trump interview, Ofcom found TalkTV to be in breach of broadcasting standards regarding a guest’s use of the C-swear word.

Despite all of this, Ofcom has rejected complaints that claimed this interview did not meet broadcasting standards of impartiality and accuracy.

So, what has the response been to Ofcom’s decision?

All claims went unchallenged – and were even endorsed with nods – by the GB News interviewer.

@38degrees.bsky.social's campaign to get Ofcom to formally investigate the interview garnered almost 70,000 signatures.
