In quiet rooms, in spaces you might not known existed.. there is art everywhere in this city

Something I want to do more in 2026 is to actively encourage more people to organize grassroots public history projects where they live. Instead of wringing our hands re the Fed attacks on Black studies, women's studies, LGBTQ studies etc we can just teach at the community level intergenerationally.

It's true! I also love how they fly, with their swoops and drops. It's the cutest 😭

we have a ton that came with the house when we moved in, and did you know they make the CUTEST little chirpy murmur noises when you are close to them? they are so curious. they will always flit around in our yard making those little murur noises and UGH impossibly cute!!!!!!

personally it's NUTHATCHES and CHICKADEES and WRENS for me, any tiny cute bird with no neck has my heart forever
