Hey folks! I just wanted to take a moment to address the situation in the United States as it’s unfolding. It’s a scary and overwhelming time right now. Hate seems to be everywhere you look, and it’s okay to feel the need to take a step back, breathe, and ground yourself. Remember, the loudest voices of hate are often the most visible, but they are not the majority. I want to remind you that this space—whether here, on Twitch, or wherever our community exists—is a safe place for you. No matter your identity, disabilities, preferences, orientation, pronouns, creed, or ethnicity, you are seen, valued, and welcome here. Bigotry and discrimination have no place in this community. If you believe in equality, love, and that people should be free to live their lives as they choose as long as they aren’t harming others, you belong here. Love is powerful, and we have each other. Together, we can push back against intolerance and create spaces where kindness, respect, and support flourish.

Creating a safe space comes with challenges. Some people have left because they felt uncomfortable with the standards we’ve set—rules they didn’t want to follow, changes they didn’t see as important, or simply because they didn’t care. But here’s the truth: small changes that make a world of difference to others are always worth it. No one is perfect, and perfection isn’t the expectation. What matters is being willing to learn, grow, and strive to do better together. This community isn’t about numbers, popularity, or avoiding confrontation for the sake of comfort. It’s about curating a space filled with people who choose love and inclusivity over hate and exclusion. You can make mistakes here. That’s part of being human. But owning those mistakes and making an effort to improve is what counts. What’s not welcome is allowing hatred or bigotry to take root under the guise of “everyone is entitled to their opinion.” A Twitch community—or any community—isn’t a human right; it’s a privilege. Belonging here doesn’t mean you need to have all the answers, make grand sacrifices, or be perfect. It means being decent, kind, and willing to make this space better for everyone. We can disagree on a million things, but not on human rights or the belief that no one should suffer for who they are. This is the line we hold, together. This is more than just a statement—it’s a commitment to doing better and making the world a little brighter. You’re not alone.
