My dog enjoyed attending the Indianapolis #StandUpforScience2025 rally! He couldnโt read all your signs but I told him what they said.

Hello #MedLibs! Consider applying to be my boss! Minimum salary $80,000. See our info sheet here: go.iu.edu/8rH8

21.11.2024 17:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0On the other place it would have been โyour handle: search termโ. Will have to explore more to see what works here.
21.11.2024 02:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I heard the term a few years ago and was like ๐๐๐ We all know what it means without even explaining it! ๐ง
26.06.2024 16:27 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yes! That's what we have been doing. We cannot count on publishers to keep our appendices indefinitely, so the more places, the better. I wanted to look at a SR search published in 2007 on a topic I was working on and it was AWOL! I'm sure many other examples like that.
26.06.2024 14:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0#LESSS2024 Great point from Leila Ledbetter & Steph Hendren for "Planting the Seeds for Data Extraction" to not use excel for data extraction because of errors. Reminded me of the issues genomics research has with gene names being autocorrected to dates!!!! ๐ณ www.nature.com/articles/d41...
25.06.2024 18:24 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thank you AGAIN, #LESSS2024 for your attention, and fun "zoom reactions" and chat! Our slides for "From Search Request to Publication: Creating a Workflow to Highlight the Efforts of a Systematic Searching Service" are here: hdl.handle.net/1805/41848

24.06.2024 19:22 โ ๐ 15 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not gonna lie, the virtual conference interface left a lot to be desired for #MLAnet24. I'm keeping tabs of what I will check out in the next few weeks. If I don't see uploaded slides/recording of interesting works I will be emailing the authors ๐ค
21.05.2024 21:55 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sounds like the jackals won't drop it cuz it was new lol and he said "we've been through this" LOL
21.05.2024 19:10 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 1Huzzah! My #MLAnet24 mole has informed me this upcoming session will cover the update and more: www.nnlm.gov/training/cla...
21.05.2024 18:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh yes. That's why I fully acknowledge I am spoiled! Will have a list of demands for future employers ๐
21.05.2024 18:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Do you watch Seth Meyer's "Corrections" on youtube? They just discussed podium vs. lectern ๐
21.05.2024 18:55 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Exactly ๐ I guess you get what you pay for? I'm always so pleased when a patron wants to learn Ovid MEDLINE instead of going with PubMed for a searching consult!
21.05.2024 18:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This is way better than when I kept triggering ad bots on Twitter!
21.05.2024 18:52 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1I'm so spoiled with a plethora of other dBs I'd rather search... I haven't bothered with their adjacency searching since it's still behind. Le sigh.
21.05.2024 18:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I have a mole in the #MLAnet24 PubMed update texting me tidbits... REALLY wish it was livestreamed for us virtual attendees! It's only a tool we use daily... ๐ฎโ๐จ

Logging off #MLAnet24 for today! The dog demands we go touch grass and I must obey.
19.05.2024 21:51 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Michigan webinar was "Language matters: Handling tough terms in systematic searching" and the recording is here: guides.lib.umich.edu/TaubmanTalks...
It was an important watch as I continue to work on an exhaustive search for Black maternal health.
Attending the Data Equity with Nicole Contaxis and @dakilangpilipina.bsky.social. I'm reminded of the phrase "Nothing about us without us" that I learned at a Michigan webinar recently #MLAnet24

19.05.2024 20:56 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm still technically on Twitter and it seems quieter than past years over there. So I think a lot of people just dropped off. Can't blame them!
