We have had a fantastic #EuropeanDayofLanguages in P5P. We listened to stories in Greek and French, created presentations on national animals on Canva and continued learning a language of our own choice on Duolingo!👏 @missmcguckinbps.bsky.social

Thanks to the funding we secured from @mathsweek.scot we have been able to create ’number adventure kits’ to go home with our families! Each kit has a different focus: ‘Number and counting’, ‘pattern and shape’, “‘movement’ and ‘measure’, providing our families different opportunities to learn. 📏🔢

@misspenn-bps.bsky.social We used Lego Spike to synchronise the motor movements of our ‘break dancer’ to keep rhythm with light and beats! What do you think of his moves? #STEAM 🕺🏽💃🏼

Because tomorrow is Roald Dahl Day, we watched a clip from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After we worked with our buddies to create a new chocolate bar then we shared them with the rest of the class @misspenn-bps.bsky.social @missmeiklebps.bsky.social

This week we have been reading the story of Stickman. This pupil created an amazing stickman using natural materials 🧍‍♂️

We have been learning how to count up to 4, form the number 4, and show 4 in different ways 4️⃣

Last week, the Helicopter Fairy visited our class and left us Helicopter Story jotters as a present 🚁🧚 We wrote our own stories and then acted them out, it was so exciting, and we came up with lots of creative and interesting ideas 📚

We’ve been exploring 2D shapes 🔴🔷 We used lots of different shapes to create pictures and they looked wonderful 🤩

We’ve been exploring rhyming words 🎶🐭 With The Gruffalo book as our guide, we spotted rhyming pairs and matched them up🦉🦊🐍

This week some of the children have been fascinated with caring for babies 👶🏼 They carried out check-ups to listen to heartbeats ❤️, gave “immunisations” 🩺, and checked weights to make sure the babies were growing strong 🧑‍⚕️✨

P7M 25-26 🥳💜

Egg Carrier STEM Challenge 🥚 What a success! The majority of our egg carriers managed to keep our eggs safe as we dropped them off the trim trail 🥳

We have been learning how to stay safe online 💻 We enjoyed playing ‘Interland’ to reinforce our learning 👾

We have been sharing what we have learnt from reading our non-fiction books 📚

We have been learning to write numbers in words 🔢 We worked in pairs, rolling our dice to give us a number and then raced our partner to write the number ✏️

P7 are very excited to be participating in rugby lessons led by Grangemouth Stags RFC for the next 4 weeks 🏉 Sessions will take place on Thursdays, starting Thursday 18th September. Please ensure your child brings a full change of P.E kit and a change of shoes for these sessions 👟

P7M Class Charter ☺️ We decided we wanted everyone’s handprints decorated with things they love as our theme 👏 We discussed what rights were most important to us and decided how we could ensure everyone gets their rights met 💜 @rightsbeancross.bsky.social

Once we finished we wanted to spend some time playing with our buddies 💜
