This art features 100 bees of various colors and shapes. These bees are designed in a cartoonish style, based on real species. The common name or species is written below the animals. Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

The same ceramic sphinx in the last post now digitally illustrated. In the top panel it sits with a giant grin, speaking. The text reads "A man in a car saw a golden door, a silver door, and a bronze door. Which door did he open first? The car door!" Bottom left it goes flying through the air, mouth open in a snarl. The text reads "Riddle failed! (Mind you they are the size of a kitten, don't worry about it). Bottom right shows them curled up on their back, blissfully relaxed, eyes closed for a nap. The text reads "Two minutes later". Scattered throughout the illusration are three small, simple doodles, looking up in wonder at a flowering plant, on its back, legs sticking straight up with a frustrated expression, and the last one; tail high with a happy smile.

I've been so tickled after making the ceramic sphinx in my last post that I couldn't help but draw them for some fun this weekend :)

It is not often that I make a 2 #FossilFriday posts but, I will make an exception. This is the skeleton of the fish Xiphactinus audax. It was found by a friend looking fossils in the Late Cretaceous (Santonian) Smokey Hill Chalk in Kansas. You think you afraid of the ocean now? You've seen nothing!

"X" (2022, american) Took me a while to get to it but my man Ti West doesn't disappoint. A slasher going with the "old people are scary" trope, but gives them a personality instead of making them mindless beasts. Also the many sex scenes aren't awkward (which I feared) but are over the top and fun.

"Parents" (1989, american) a very strange and slightly dreamlike film, and despite strong suspicions you're not sure of what's going on until you're nearing the end. An intersting watch.

There's a light strongly reflecting in a mirror in the background, that is almost eclipsing the man and two mowen standing on guard, holding strange close-range weapons in their hands. In front of them is a man knealing with his face covered by a white cowl.

"Knock at the Cabin" (american, 2023) Having read the book it's from ("the Cabin at the End of the World" by Paul Tremblay) took out all the suspense this film could've had. Also the ending was given a more Roland Emmerich-esk taste to it which... it's cute, it's very american, it's not the best.

Aziraphale and Crowley are sitting on the Wall in Eden. Aziraphale has his pretty pink wings out, and is wearing voluminous white robes, pulled down to expose his shoulders and chest, and also up, to show his legs. Crowley is half-transformed, with a long snake tail and his robes shrugged down around his waist. Crowley is holding an apple tree branch with his tail, and is offering Aziraphale the apple in his hand. They're looking at each other flirtily, each making a thoughtful gesture. The small text at the top reads "LA VIE PARISIENNE" and "LE FRUIT DÉPENDU". This is based directly on an early 1900's illustration of the same name from La Vie Parisienne.
