This is the Alberta my fellow British Columbians warned me about when I moved to this province over 20 years ago. Iβm at least grateful it took this long to manifest. Iβm going to focus on the @lukaszukab.bsky.social win to help me get through staying here awhile longer.

New and old and new.
Iβve been immersed in Aran Goyoagaβs new baking book. Last week alone: over 5 hours in the kitchen building sourdough starter & testing out recipes. Itβs her best book yet.
Iβve also started knitting again with this beautiful Akara Rose BFL yarn. Iβve had this skein for awhile!

How about, βit cost Canadians 1 billion dollars to have a national postal serviceβ which works out to costing about $25 a year per person (population of Canada in 2024 = 40 million). Seems like a pretty reasonable cost to me.
Thank you for this. Iβm originally from Kamloops, grew up around Ponderosa pinesβ¦ and you captured the essence of the BC interior perfectly. β€οΈ

Still bothering me and I must comment that I feel this is a further affront to visual art education in Alberta. Not that I showed my kids some of the images from here, but, taking the award from my own 1985 high school art teacher home and wondering where culture in AB is headed.
