In other news, Jeffrey Clark makes a desperate attempt to delay GA criminal case against him. Filed a notice of appeal and a motion for stay.

Motion for stay relies on CIVIL procedure rules, not criminal procedure. Dictionary illustration for grasping at straws.

Crazy stuff in the Jan. 6 criminal case against Trump. As others have reported, the Judge gave an additional 14 days to file dispositive motions instead of the requested 60.

But the crazy stuff are the motions to intervene. Unheard of in criminal matters. See Doc. Nos. 81, 83 and 84.

Evidently being President gives you “Immunity” from criminal acts. Here’s his motion to dismiss the Jan 6 case.

Further support for this assumption comes from the opinion remanding the Clark case, the Court observed:

“To be sure, there is evidence in this case that was excluded or assigned little weight because the witness was not available for cross-examination.” GA v Clark, Opinion at 15.

So Trump decided not to attempt removal of the GA prosecution to federal court. Why?

I think it was the justified fear that he would have to testify, and be subjected to cross examination.
