To make matters worse, I was just awarded Tech of the Quarter. An award that I never aspired to win because I preferred to stay out of limelight. It just so happens to be an award that Ally won when I started at 4036. To say I’ve been an emotional wreck this week is an understatement.

Since October I’ve been working 50+ hour work weeks because we lost 4 techs. One passed away, she was my coworker and friend for 10 years. Now that we have new staff starting, I find myself working normal hours and having to actually confront her death as I no longer have work to distract me.

One of these days my boyfriend will actually say yes when I ask if he wants to watch Lord of the Rings (extended editions of course).

How I started 2025 vs. how I’m finishing it. Small gains.

2025 comes to a close and I didn’t hit my weight loss goal. However, I set a very ambitious goal for myself. At the end of the day 10 pounds is 10 pounds, and I feel better mentally and physically.

I’ve not caved to Ohio’s new law requiring third party verification to see adult material but it’s been frustrating.

True. I suppose it’s not a bad thing. I just have a few friends in my life who will just get up and go to another country without saying a word. Makes me feel like I’m the odd one for telling them weeks in advance of my travel plans

I know I don’t have to get approval for anyone to travel. I can just get up and leave, even to a city in my home states. Yet I still find myself telling multiple people my plans like I need them to approve it.

Southern Culture on the Skids show was super fun but there were a lot of folks who have no rhythm

As of today Ohio law requires me to verify I am an adult through third parties to see adult images, and to access direct messages. Because we have to “protect the children” meanwhile they have cut funding to programs that directly help children. Time to find another outlet once again.

I don’t know why I thought I would put my name in to be the union steward for my pharmacy. I now have a 13 hour day full of training and seminars to attend in Cleveland. Have to be there for registration at 8 am. Glad I only live an hour away. 🫠

It’s definitely going to be a night spent “sweating the fever out”. Hopefully I’ll get to make headway on the final Essex Dogs novel Lion Hearts since I’m cooped up.
