i liked getting to play it on my steamdeck at work

their criteria is for if the game loads and how well it works with controls and readability. fps was pretty much never part of the criteria and with steamos being on more handhelds and soon coming to the steam machine i dont think they are trying to badge specifically for how it runs on deck anymore

probably. city folk is like the black sheep as its almost just a cut and paste of wild world but in 480p, only pointer controls, and then added city. but deluxe honestly fixes a lot of cf problems while adding an ungodly amount of content including online so if you ever get the chance id recommend

if you havent yet i would check out animal crossing city folk deluxe. it adds controller support, 244 backported/dlc villagers, new items, a bunch of qol, and more. id love to see a video on that one as no one seems to talk about it nearly as much as ac deluxe 1

there appearently are things you can do to edit the config file to make the settings go even lower but i feel like thats too much effort to make a game run smooth

ive found most cell shaded games actually run great. hi fi rush, lethal league blaze, bomb rush cyberfunk, neo the world ends with you, the list goes on and on. its just codevein is a really big game with what i can only assume is hugh polycount and render distance even on low

personally i feel even the first game struggles in some areas so i wasnt expecting the second game to run all that well

while i hope so we gotta remember the reason it hasnt been brought back yet. Miyamoto said he struggled to find new ideas for the series to be "great again" because GX set the bar too high. its essentially his perfect F-Zero. tho on the other hand we could get an hd remake or something please
