These posts have kind of gotten away from the whole "urban fantasy monster-people world" thing but not really. I think we all deserve to be creatures who creach with reckless abandon. There is just no escaping the metaphors behind it. The oldest stories we tell have beasts in them.

People are people and still as human as you are (which is very.)
Life sucks in that few will truly understand your experience as a deeply individual mind and body, but the good thing is that there's plenty who will understand most of you- enough to love and care for you if you seek it.

Werewolves have to deal with the cyclical nature of changing states of being, as well as the other-izing experience of being seen as one or the other of those states. They're werewolves regardless of being in wolf or human form or even "inbetween".

Life can be cruel that way, but I ultimately believe it's worth it to keep trying and keep living to the best you are able to *without* pushing yourself too hard. Your skin might slough off and you'll just be a zombie skeleton if you keep neglecting to eat a stranger's brain, I'm afraid.

A zombie in this world has analogies of persevering through immense trauma and/or chronic pain/fatigue to reach their goals- maybe in spite or because of their trauma, or whatever reason they might have. Being something else doesn't *have* to be the end, but it will be difficult.

To me I find it alarming how easily people can other-ize each other for being human yet also something else. Nothing takes away from their human-ness, they're just also something else. That's how I see it, at least.
A person who lost an arm is still human, they just also are an amputee now.

A main focus of this story is the experience of being an "other" despite how functionally one is still human, they're just also something else- either being born that way or gaining that something else later in life.

And also people who can't play musical instruments that also stumble into her backyard- It's her one caveat to trying not to eat people as a zombie. Can't forget that.

Thankfully, NineZero knew how to drum (or at the very least was a quick learner on it). He and Teto formed Dead Man's Karma as a means to pass the time and advance her dream. Teto also works at a mini mart to make ends meet.
She also eats random animals that stumble into her backyard.

Presently in I guess a "Season 1" of this whole shebang, the known characters are Kasane Teto and NineZero. Teto is a zombie, NineZero is a werewolf.
Teto died and rose as a zombie with a single-minded goal of being a famous rockstar, and NineZero blearily woke up in her backyard one day.

So, the general idea is that Dead Man's Karma is a garage band located in a fictional city in Oregon, more specifically based on Junction city. Let's call this city Nowhere, Oregon.
The main characters of the story are the different Synthesizer V voicebanks I have.

Maybe I should start just listing the worldbuilding of this project given the nature of the bluesky page is in-character (so wouldn't be able to just. describe the themes of the overarching plot.)
