Christmas seems like a great day for a nasty migraine

court went better than expected

just tried to yank a loose thread off my suitcase and cut my pinky half way around instead. turns out getting rid of loose thread is a lot easier with a knife or scissors instead of just your hand

actually, best case is a random rich person suddenly both develops a conscience and learns about us specifically and provides all we need to live comfortably for the rest of our lives with no catch. wait, no, best case capitalism ends and everyone gets everything they need

best case scenario we get enough help to stay in hotel rooms for a while while we look for more work besides just the jobs we just got. worst case we spend most nights in the van and have to struggle to find places to park

we've got one local friend who can offer occasional showers, laundry, kitchen use, and even a place to sleep on the colder nights, but we don't want to take too much advantage, and we can't stay long term

new job doesn't start until january, and it'll probably be kinda tough to do while living in a van in winter. not that that's avoidable, just maybe can be made less bad/dangerous
