I finished Interview with the Vampire TV and I want to reread the first book badly but GOD FORBID I READ A MODERN COPY and mine is who knows where in storage (and crumbling, and has a movie tie in cover, yuck) so I found a 1981 gold edition in acceptable condition on a thrift website for peanuts!!!

9 page one piece fancomic. the whole thing is drawn with a lot of solid blackwork, to hopefully give it a dark, eerie atmosphere. page 1. panel 1: the narration reads, "at the heart of the room, three trafalgar laws manifest." the first is the devil fruit, shown as law in a hoodie with his fruit instead of his jolly roger. he adjusts a surgical light over his body, the second law, depicted as the one lying on the operating table, connected to an iv stand and covered with a blanket. the third law, his mind, is a child, curled on the floor at the foot of the table. the operating table, crucially, better resembles the slab in a morgue. panel 2: an overhead view of the table. in the halo of light, devil-fruit-law is performing heart surgury on body-law. body-law is covered in scrapes and cuts, and his hazy eyes look either heavily sedated or possibly dead.
