This is footage taken earlier today of the eye of Hurricane Melissa.

The entire view is remarkable, of the core of one of the strongest Atlantic basic hurricanes in recorded history, and a catastrophic hit to Jamaica and the central Caribbean.

I’ve watched a few Coventry games this season: his celebrations are fairly subdued.

I pointed my telescope at the Triangulum Galaxy for 9 hours and 24 minutes:

1 hour and 4 minutes of red light
1 hour of green light
1 hour and 4 minutes of blue light

3 hours and 12 minutes of luminance

3 hours and 4 minutes of Hydrogen alpha.

From the outside looking in, Republican political discourse feels like a parade of one made up or overblown absurd existential crisis to the next. I’m exhausted by proximity.

Why is the crowd at St. Mary’s booing? I thoroughly enjoyed that half.
