Oddy needs skill and strategy to shine. Just like the Conquest. It's also kinda bad in AI hands. Just like the Conquest. I'd use a MIRV on the large and some sabots on the mediums for better burst, but that's just me. Alternatively some [REDACTED] or [SUPER ALABASTER].

Small context for anyone else stumbling on this (from what I remember):
- The "malware" was just some code that would mangle your save if you were playing with a certain unsavory mod (which is banned from most starsector places)
- Moderators did moderator things
- Things got exaggerated a lot

Pictured: a planet used to be here, until a bug let me "break it for salvage". Backing out of a menu made the game think the planet was a comm relay, and, well. At least I got some scrap out of it!

Added the ability to change the s-mods on a ship for a LOT of credits, at a player-owned colony with heavy industry. The original s-mods still require story points to add, but this should make it easier to revamp an endgame fleet.

It depends on what you mean large-scale. But practically not really. You need to edit the game's config file and increase the battle size from the default 400 to like 2k+ and fill it all up before you'd start seeing actual lag considering your hardware.

Just you wait until there's 20 capital ships, a few hundred smaller ones, some 1k+ fighters and 10x those in projectiles. You did come at the right time tho, it just recently got updated from using java 7 to java 17, extreme performance boost. Burn bright Starfarer.

Reduced the leash range on the "Defend" (and similar) commands by a third. Seems to be working well so far - the actual performance of the fleet in battle is *much* better with the new leash range!

Anubis is one of the best battlecarriers around. Just needs some proper fitting. I ran it as a flagship and it would just melt through frigates with no issues. Tanky, mobile, high dps and varied damage due to the mounts and fighters (s-mod converted hangar on it).

To other news. Present first modded dialogue I feel is good enough to share. It is definitely going to be tweaked over time, and quest start in the end is just text (my next "to do" work), but I'm glad about this overall.
