Welp, I went ahead and got it. With my B&N points and the sale, I picked it up along with a cover, all together under $100, so not bad at all. So long as the Nook runs smoothly and displays manga pages nice and crisp I'll be pleased.

It stands out I suppose because the more obvious thing to depict is simply a mother who constantly yells angrily at her daughter. But this slightly different issue, a parent who constantly dumps her life problems upon a child, is still messed up in its own way.

You remind me of another LN series (Book Girl) which also depicts a number of such situations. One that has always stuck with me is a character who felt she was her mother's "trash can." As in, the mother would always go to her daughter whenever she wanted to vent her frustrations.

Wonderful games! I'm in the camp that Radiant Dawn is the rare sequel that builds upon its predecessor in really interesting ways and provides an even more epic conclusion to the narrative as a whole. (Path of Radiance is still great on its own though. I'll have to replay it one day...)
