Well I guess it would depend on the circumstances, right? Hypothetically If your character failed all their death saves or was otherwise killed in front of the other characters that’s just dead, but as a DM I can’t see why there would be an issue using that character in other games.

I don’t get to play much and while I don’t think I’d love it, I do love it when I know death is on the line. Playing when you know characters can’t die is like playing poker with candy.

Hmm, as a DM I’ve always gone with “death is death” otherwise decisions feel less weighty, granted we don’t lose characters that often. Do you feel like it’s cheating at all to just have a “dead” character re-appear? (Not saying it is)

So question TTRPG folks; how do you feel when/if your character dies?

Seeing a lot of great Baldur’s Gate 3 fan art so I decided to draw my character!

Just heard about this awesome new game you guys might like, it’s called Baldur’s Gate 3. Seems pretty decent.

Alright so Baldurs Gate 3 is amazing and all, but I see a lot of “greatest RPG ever” being thrown around and it’s real obvious none of you have played the RPG I made on RPG Maker 10 years ago. It had about 5 minutes of content, some dialogue and even a fight with a vampire. Shame

Feel your pain. I only play co-op with my wife so I have to wait until we’re both free.

Homestar Runner will always live on for me through the voice that rings in my head whenever I play games! Or open my e-hehemail.

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but both D&D and Pathfinder do that pretty well I think with Inspiration or Hero Points, which the GM is encouraged to award for good RP. I also like to add extra options to use inspiration or hero points on to make them more versatile and fun.
