Attending/hosting a poetry reading is one of my favorite forms of community building.

I'm fine. Just not feeling it right now. Realizing this is the new rhythm.

Sometimes I want to walk away from poetry and writing.

“Abolish” or “defund” aren't within grasp in 2026. But where are:

- End qualified immunity
- Rewrite use-of-force so this crap isn't ruled “within policy”
- Overturn July 8 mandatory detention memo
- Reinstate TPS
- Open up detention centers, enforce humane conditions

He doesn’t even *ask* for it.

The dem talking points on training and ids versus abolition are so awful and missing the opportunities the protests are opening for them.

If the best we will ever get is the most tepid resistance and calls for reform at a moment when abolition and revolution are necessary, it is time to look for new leadership, a new party that will fight with us and for us.
