a friend made me read this one anthropology article about the conceptualization of kinship in different cultures and its giving me a lot of fic ideas. the connection between mafuyu and her mom being drawn not only from an immutable blood tie but domestic commensality: shared food in a shared home.

i’ve noticed a lot of asahinacest art seems to have this kind of cfnf dynamic because it kind of intuitively makes sense given the nature of their relationship. it just wouldn’t be right for that kind of maternal tilt to not be there

no i kind of get where you’re coming from (i think i have to assume the cutoff is something like “while her dad is away”). for me i dont really hc the cfnf dynamic as going anywhere past the bedroom but the clothed mafumom/naked mafuyu thing is something i really really love from a lot of angles

anyways convention plans for next year are to cosplay mafuyu and rope one of my friends into cosplaying as her mom. i don’t know how feasible that second part is but you never know

i was answering a friend’s question in the artist alley and i ended up throwing shade onto akitoya right in front of a booth where the artist was very obviously a huge akitoya fan. i bought a couple mafuyus from them but needless to say i kind of soured that interaction 💔

i always find so much somber mafuyu + mafumom art and it makes sense given their canon relationship, but it's still funny that when i need my mafuyu x mafumom fix i'll look at what's essentially that painting of ivan the terrible and his son and be like "aw, aren't they sweet"

i think i'm mostly just conflicted about putting mafumom in a situation that might be too vulnerable to be in-character? i'll have to stare at an empty doc and sus it out later
