It's so intentionally obtuse that it's a little obnoxious. They hide the effects of these things like 3 submenus deep and you can't even see the effect until you actually waste the materials to craft it

I have yet to engage with decos in this game at all because they make it so unbelievably obtuse to learn what any skills do and I can't be bothered to cross reference a spreadsheet of them 😭

It's 100x more stupid in old gens like this where you already get stunlocked constantly by comboes so the actual status effect feels like the devs want to shoot you in the head for fun
