I was so thrilled doing this prompt for #disember that luckily I found some time on Sunday to get it done on time. This is my favourite scene in #moana . Always gives me the chills.

In this digital painting, we see Sokka from Avatar the Last Airbender in the desert. This is a depiction of the season 2, episode 11 “The Desert”. We see Sokka shielding his eyes to look into the distance, with Momo perched on his shoulder, copying him and also shielding his eyes to look into the distance, with his ears out behind him mimicking the shapes of Sokka’s ponytail. The sky is bright and blue, the ground in the distance is hot sand.

Attitude. We were using "screwball" comedies of the 1940s as inspiration. Barbara Stanwyck independent and intelligent attitude in her films were great reference, especially "The Lady Eve".
