Happy birthday, beautiful Joan Fontaine! Pretty please: Stop talking about her overhyped "feud" with her sister, and watch her filmsβ€”REBECCA, LETTER FROM AN UNKNOWN WOMAN, IVY, THE CONSTANT NYMPH, KISS THE BLOOD OFF MY HANDS, SUSPICION, SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR, BORN TO BE BAD. She was so talented.

I believe Eleanor Parker had Sylvia’s role before it made it to Broadway, which is quite the change in casting.

NY-17 Rep. Mike Lawler had a local social worker physically dragged out of his town hall Sunday night.

Emily Feiner was singled out by private security, lifted out of her seat, as the crowd chanted β€œlet her stay” and β€œshame, shame.”
She’s a constituent.
Not a threat.
Fascism again.

At Cabaret yesterday, Cliff said his line β€œβ€¦if you’re not against all this then you’re for it. Or you might as well be”. The audience interrupted the scene to applaud that line so strongly it stopped the show. Doing a show about the onset of fascism right now is. . . chilling.

That’s an insult to Ernst Stavro, if I’m being honest.

i think an important thing for people outside the US to understand is that elon musk seized control of the government today and most americans don’t even realize it happened.

Some shots from Sondergaard’s wardrobe and makeup tests for the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz. She was originally chosen to play the role before Margaret Hamilton took it over.

Sondergaard was the very first Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner for her very first film, Anthony Adverse (1936), which I have yet to see. She had already appeared in 9 Broadway productions, including the original Broadway run of Eugene O’Neill’s Strange Interlude.
