Donate to Palestinian Journalists Informed Australia — Now Need Help, organized by Rakan Salah Palestinian journalist Rakan Abdelrahman and cameraman Salah Wa… Rakan Salah needs your support for Palestinian Journalists Informed Australia — Now Need Help

A couple of Palestinian journos who had been reporting for Australian media for the past few years have managed to get out of Gaza with their families but now need support getting set up in a new country (not Australia) where they have no resources and don’t speak the language. gofund.me/d02926541

I dunno about peeps saying they attended the white supremacist organised reclaim australia rallies (or whatever it was called) because they have totally not racist concerns about immigration…

Like, I really like trivia nights, but if there was a trivia night being organised and run by white supremacists, and they had a white supremacist mc, white supremacy themed trivia questions and they were handing out white supremacist propaganda, I probably wouldn’t go.

I say your three-cent titanium tax goes too far. And I say your three-cent titanium tax doesn't go too far enough

Whenever I hear Liberal or Labor criticising the other about their failure to close the gap while in govt I’m reminded of this…

Also worth pointing out that, according to the australian, calling the gross over representation of Indigenous youth in child removal and incarceration a ‘genocide’ is a ‘calculated evil’, but the politically motivated strategic and systematic over-institutionalisation of Indigenous youth is not.

A few days ago the australian ran a number of hit pieces against the ‘Blak Sovereignty Movement’ who they were claiming, based on very dubious assertions, wanted to use the word ‘genocide’ in a group statement… Super curious to see if they now come out and accuse Patrick Dodson of ‘calculated evil’.

And the timelines are so full of non-Indigenous ppl saying sorry/not sorry atm that you’d be excused for missing another death in custody, the extension of Australia’s largest gas project despite the damage it is causing to Murujuga rock art, hit pieces being run by the australian, or anything else…

In the 70s and 80s Aboriginal people asked for Treaty, but we were given reconciliation instead...

Cupcakes and platitudes are not reconciliation.

Reconciliation action plans are not reconciliation.

Reconciliation is not Treaty.

Reconciliation is not justice.

They can rescind my award, take away my prize money, rip up the contract but I was still one of two winners of the prestigious Blak & Write Fellowship for 2025. A panel of peers read my manuscript, and selected my work as worthy of winning. Haters can not rob me of Blak joy

What is white genocide? – IndigenousX

‘White genocide’ is a neo-nazi conspiracy theory used to attack diversity and anti-racism, refute claims of racism and, ultimately, to justify white supremacy. indigenousx.com.au/what-is-whit...

Did you ever wonder why so many white South Africans came to Australia after the end of apartheid?

15.05.2025 04:17 — 👍 37    🔁 4    💬 5    📌 0

First, they didn’t come for the white South African farmers, and I didn’t speak up because it wasn’t happening but also because ‘white genocide’ is a made up white supremacist conspiracy theory used to justify white supremacy and to oppose immigration and multiculturalism.

The same Sussan Ley who, in her Australia Day speech this year, compared Captain Cook to Elon Musk and then listed all the ‘amazing’ things about Australia that were either just straight untrue or only eventually came about thru activism and then shat on activism as being unAustralian? Cool.

This piece from Boneta-Marie Mabo - granddaughter of Eddie Koiki Mabo - is a really cool little intro to radical Blak activism. It obviously doesn’t cover everything, but I reckon it has some neat little nuggets to chew on.

Well worth taking the time to sit with it.

And if you’re not convinced, please tell me how you think the national conversation and related media coverage is going to roll out in the lead up to Jan 26, 2026… do you think that is going to show that Australia is ‘fed up’ with division and hatred and culture wars?

And don’t get me wrong, I’m happy they lost, but I don’t see this election changing the reality that Australia still has a huge issue with racism and every other form of bigotry.

They didn’t like Dutton’s particular brand of these items perhaps, but all of them are still in great demand in this country. They will still sell newspapers, drive popular sentiment, influence policy etc.

So why am I seeing the same thing happen now with people proudly proclaiming “Australia voted no to division and hatred and the culture wars etc”? That’s the same hyperbole. Australia didn’t vote no to division or hatred or the culture wars. Australia loves division and hatred and the culture wars.

Remember when the referendum failed and certain conservatives were saying “we voted no to [insert anything and everything Indigenous]” and we were all, “well no, Australia voted no to very specific constitutional change”?

I don't particularly care who the Liberal Party have as their next leader, but I'm kinda hoping it's Angus Taylor purely to see people replying, anytime he says anything, with 'Fantastic. Great move. Well done Angus'...

I’m not sure if people understand the business model of anti-racism training but we don’t spend all day freely giving a politely worded education to non-Indigenous organisations who racially profile our staff, invalidate our experiences, deny that racism exists and then tone police us…
