A gripping storyline driven by the need to escape an environmental apocalypse that tackles the dynamics of human nature and family bonds in extreme circumstances. I became absorbed in the struggles of the characters.

With federal funding in question, artists can navigate a perilous future by looking to the past Because the US government has rarely offered full-throated support for the arts, there’s a long tradition of innovation, adaptation and collective action among American artists.

This is a really great summary of federal funding of the arts in the U.S. from @theconversation.com. So much can be learned from the past to naviagate our future.
