At the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation’s Fall Harvest, tradition came alive.

From winnowing wild rice to plucking porcupine quills, every act told a story. It was a powerful reminder that Indigenous culture and wisdom has so much to teach us.

Today we celebrate Persons Day - the 1929 legal victory that recognized Canadian women as “persons” under the law. Thanks to the Famous Five who led the charge, the way was paved for women to participate more fully in public and political life.

I have to give special mention to the many first responders and essential workers who didn’t have the luxury of time with their families this weekend. Thank you for your service and sacrifice!

This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for our community - for neighbours who look out for one another and the shared values that bring us together.

I hope this weekend has brought opportunities for peace, rest and joy.

Dreams don’t disappear because of a disability.

But for too many students, the barriers are immense.

Last night, I joined the Tamara Gordon Foundation’s 2025 Scholarship Award Ceremony to celebrate post-secondary students who refuse to let adversity define them.

Thank you to the organizers at St Clare Inn and all the volunteers who made this incredible event a success.

Linda’s story is both unique and painfully familiar:

A woman with hopes and dreams, dashed by struggles with mental health and homelessness. She died alone in Don Mills.

She’s not alone anymore.

Today, we attended the 16th Annual Linda’s Walk so this can’t happen again.

I’m saddened by the passing of the Honourable Jim Bradley, one of Ontario’s longest serving MPPs.

I was lucky enough to meet him and am inspired by his warmth, humility, and lifelong dedication to public service.

My thoughts are with his family and all who mourn his loss.

Today, @TPS33Div opened a new Safety Hub at Shops at Don Mills.

This hub is more than a physical space - it’s a platform for nurturing trust, partnership and peace of mind.

Ontario has hit 26% of its 2025 housing target to date as slump continues | Globalnews.ca The latest data from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation revealed just 5,149 new homes started construction in August, a drop of 4 per cent compared to the year before.
