The thing about all these men is they could date anybody. They're rich, they're famous. They could bag socialites or models or actresses or whoever. Instead they single out the most vulnerable women and girls they can find. They cannot form relationships with women who are their peers.

It's always really helpful for their followers/culture manipulators. When we point out the bad thing is actually happening now, they go "Oh, I thought you said that was a hoax. Besides, we're only doing it now because you did it first."

The playbook has always been:

1) come up with a batshit criminal scheme.
2) Say the Democrats/Liberals are doing it
3) Get everyone worked up and arguing about it. Muddy the waters with so much garbage people don't trust anything they hear about it
4) Do that thing

When I script, especially in conversational scenes, I include what the character is thinking/feeling, so the artist has a starting point for how the character is acting.

Nice to know I'm doing something right! 😅

I'm extremely picky about 'acting' in comics. I want to see it on every page. In body language, expression, hand gestures, what characters wear, eat, certain speech preferences, everything.

No stiff, unemotive sameness.

Without acting, it isn't great visual storytelling.

This is what Joe Strummer trained us for!

Thanks for talking about this. As someone in what seems to be a similar situation (but without the getting published and getting advances), and it's been hard for me to process how to deal with all of these competing factors (health, fulfilment, socializing, what "needs to be done" etc).
