Social media is a bizarre mix of advertising and journaling.

I think it's been bad for creator's mental health that much of the advertising has been offloaded onto them to do through social media.

Oh also I stand by my statement 10 years ago that when twitter changed from a star (bookmark) to a heart (endorsement/chasing fb) it was the beginning of the end for twitter.

I think the fighting weighted algos did unbelievable mental health damage to people who spent most of their time alone.
