It's bread and butter gameplay, all about the red(+green) zone. Smash their face and have fun doing it.

Has a game the duty to treat source material with absolute fealty for fealty's sake? Or, being a game, should it be allowed to play with it? Suspension of disbelief is a rare find in an era of polarised pov.

The series is a million books long and there are many sub-series that follow different groups of characters (as you can tell by the commander decks mocked up). I would read Small Gods. It stands alone, and gives you a peek into the world.
