Tunnel zu weil zu viele krank. (Letzte Meldung des Corona-Abwassermonitorings: +17%). Wann wird endlich begriffen, dass saubere Innenraumluft kritische Infrastruktur ist, genauso wie sauberes Wasser?

And thus also the perception that people with Autism and their families don't need social support.

Waking up at 3 am to book tickets for things! Paying thousands! Booking time slots for everything! It seems like the opposite of relaxed & happy?

Idk, I grew up on stories about rationing during WWII, it always seemed obvious to me that minor inconvenient sacrifices that help the whole community are common and necessary.

Deny the lie they want you to believe, that taking as much as you can while giving nothing back is the goal.

Erst alle durchseuchen, dann sich über die Kosten beschweren. Unverschämt.
So glad ICE is in Chicago. The city is a lawless hell-scape. Blues musicians wrecking hundreds of police cars. High schoolers doing weird scientific sex experiments. Kids home alone during the holidays. Women killing their husbands and lovers and then SINGING about it sassily. This has to stop.

Truly, I am not trying to say that the vaccines were not a huge accomplishment and a life-saver for many people – but I just wonder about whether they really did 'end' the pandemic.
I just went and looked up the chart with dates. The peak was Jan 8th. IIRC Omicron didn't really hit the West until early Jan 2022. There was also usually a lag between infections rising, hospitalizations, and deaths (I think hospitalizations usually 2 weeks after infection, death a little after) 1/
09.09.2025 10:29 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I am very pro-vax, but doesn't this show that Omicron was the real game changer? That the risk of death became minimal for the vaccinated once we had vaccines, but without Omicron's lower death rate, the unvaccinated would have continued to die in huge numbers and put pressure on health systems?

Also – and this might not be a direct effect of the virus – feel a strong urge to punch everyone who told me over the years how "mild" and "cold-like" it is.
I just had it for the first time and it really knocked me sideways. I was also extremely depressed at the peak – that's now gone but the fatigue is still crippling.
