Steve Jamieson, Chief Executive of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists said: “Providing timely and effective support for children with speech, language and communication needs is the right thing to do. Not only is it best for children and families; it makes economic sense too. We know speech and language therapists want to make a difference and help as early as possible. We are calling for cross-government action to ensure there is easy access to speech and language therapy for children, young people, and families, with integrated universal, targeted and specialist support in all schools and early years settings.”
