My dad is/was a pastor and I have to tell people we were raised in a conservative Christian household as far as our behavior in mixed company. My parents have always been progressive when it comes to things like abortion, lgbtq+ rights, women’s rights etc. it never gave bigot!

One thing I am adamant about is not raising no fuckboys. I’m not mean to my sons but we don’t coddle nor baby them! They already got the unfortunate genetics of a lazy white woman, so it’s a lot of straightnin’ going on 😂 but people are always pleasantly surprised at how they act in public.

I do agree with the point that the man should be more demonstrative. Men have been conditioned and fed the notion to not show emotion and it comes out the other end as being cold and callous to someone you should be soft and warm with.
