Any good tools to keep track of new literature articles? Ideally I'd like something I can 👍👎 and filter out topics or authors (e.g., "exclude this paper mill")

Well the bottom one the theoretical pattern based on SXRD data and upper one is the PXRD of the bulk sample

I am talking about pattern like this

By 'fit' I meant that the reflections are at the right positions and the number of reflections is correct. I do not expect everybody to perform a Pawley fit or a Rietveld refinement.

I have a question for #chemsky and #chemchat: I often see published PXRD patterns which do not fit to the theoretical pattern of a new structure. If the diffraction data don't support the structure, what does that say about the rest of the characterization?

That's true 😅

Surprising to see this in 2025. At minimum, I expected the data to be available upon reasonable request.
