Hey #chemchat #chemsky question - an app I used to track journal feeds will be dead soon.
Any good tools to keep track of new literature articles? Ideally I'd like something I can ππ and filter out topics or authors (e.g., "exclude this paper mill")
Suggestions welcome - I'll post a summary

Well the bottom one the theoretical pattern based on SXRD data and upper one is the PXRD of the bulk sample

I am talking about pattern like this
10.11.2025 09:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0
By 'fit' I meant that the reflections are at the right positions and the number of reflections is correct. I do not expect everybody to perform a Pawley fit or a Rietveld refinement.

I have a question for #chemsky and #chemchat: I often see published PXRD patterns which do not fit to the theoretical pattern of a new structure. If the diffraction data don't support the structure, what does that say about the rest of the characterization?
