SMB2 is tough one to put here as a reskin of Doki Doki Panic and not an original thought to move in a different direction (SMB2 Japan was considered too hard). You could put the mostly reviled (I like it) Castlevania II: Simon's Quest in...RPG elements came to future games (3, RoB, SotN, etc.).

With Matt Reeves saying the Batman 2 villain is tied to Bruce Wayne's past and hasn't been seen yet in movies...that narrows it down a bit if tied to comic stories: Hugo Strange, Hush, Court of Owls, possibly Thomas Wayne (or Jr.), and maybe Doctor Hurt and Zur-En-Arrh.

As a longtime writer/editor I can't imagine using a LLM/Generative AI to write emails, copy, reviews, etc. Haven't even visited or used any of them and my full-time job has been in IT for almost 30 years now. These are destroying a number of industries including tabletop, writing/editing, art, etc.

I understand what you're saying, but Superman is weak against magic (the One Ring is magical) and Sauron's influence would likely work faster and more intensely on Superman than a hobbit or Batman. This is assuming the ring even gets on any of their fingers. Batman's willpower may weaken influence.

Yep, no doubt. I do like the new song though and wondering if the rest of the tracks will feel old school or not. Taking over for Daft Punk (who did the Tron Legacy soundtrack) was the right way to go for the feel of the series...and he and Atticus have done excellent work on scores for movies.

Different areas of government = different budgets. ICE=Homeland Security, Energy Infrastructure=Dept. of Energy. Homeland has over $50 billion more to spend than Energy from what I can find currently (Defense=$2.2 Trillion, way more). My guess is the gap is bigger with the bill that just passed.

Yeah, think Steam has been hosed since the sale began. Just trying to look up list of specific genres (like board games) to see what might be on sale and it takes forever to load a small list, then you hit more and wait longer.

I'm excited about the penultimate episode of TLOU Season 2. Some of the most powerful and gut wrenching parts of the TLOU2 story (to me) sound like they will be represented in this episode. May also be the last time we see you know who on screen unless something new is explored.

Seems as if @polygon.com has been sold and many have been laid off. When it opened it was mostly the who's who of gaming writers/journalists out there. Obviously a lot has changed since then, but sad that this situation continues both in gaming journalism and development/studios.

the overall cost is far higher built inside the US (and the time taken to pivot) than from China. There's already been company and development house casualties on this and I unfortunately expect more. As Patrick said, the currently being worked on Arcs expansion 4/6
