For context: a contingent academic still waiting for nearly £1200 worth of freelance academic work I have done. In addition, another senior academic thought they could get me to do development edits without advance payment. 🤬

Advice needed: how can I stay on top of my writing while dealing with problems? I have faced a rough couple of years with a nasty legal battle, ill health, financial distress and family crises.
