And the unlikeliest of all, the Morley FC manager of 1905!

In the beginning there was Leeds City Football Club!
A debate I have had with a few fans down the years - why can't City's era be recognised as part of the United history?
Like the #lufc (all matches) tab, I have now added a sheet for #LeedsCityFC records.
And COMBINED the stats - all Leeds ar't we!

Freshly returned from an insufferable work trip to the dark side where I found myself confined to my hotel room with man flu. Took advantage of the downtime by ticking off one of my 'rainy day' projects. A first of its kind, I think.

Been doing a little 'housekeeping' on various Leeds spreadsheets ahead of some new bespoke analysis & realised I had not added Raphael Dias Belloli (Raphinha!) to the "United players in Ballon D'Or" table recently. The 6th former #lufc player nominated (10th time), among others. Should have won it!

Leeds records updated after the Spurs defeat (& a re-vamp of the master in recent days).
Not many positives for United - losing the undefeated home run - Thomas Frank winning at #EllandRoad for the first time, as well as his first v Daniel Farke.
No #lufc sending off though - now 86 games since!

Remembering the great Les Cocker who passed away suddenly #OnThisDay 1979.
Famous for being the loyal lieutenant to Don Revie at Leeds (& England), and instrumental in Alf Ramsay's World Cup success in 1966.

Here's an update on some of Daniel Farke's own 'performance' - capturing his Norwich City & Leeds basics against this season's #EPL opponents.
United's acceptable start should help him sleep better than in his #ncfc days!

Leeds have now played 85 games since Meslier sent off (Dec 2023) & 102 since an outfield player (Rodon, in the Sept) - both away.
United have played 56 at #EllandRoad since Firpo's red card in May of the same year - yesterday marking 50 in the league (excluding play offs).

United's 215th Desmond (2-2), a 97th at #EllandRoad (league = 192/87);
Daniel Farke's 6th in 111 games in charge at #lufc.
Rodon scoring in his first ever game against the Cherries, Longstaff also scored for Newcastle in his first time v them

Mixed experiences & few recent encounters but there have been goals for some of United's newer recruits against the Cherries in the past. Several others will be facing #AFCB for the first time.

Rarely am I tempted to spend on more Leeds paraphernalia nowadays but a recent ebygumbay listing was too good to pass. Won it for less than a tenner including p+p - received dozens & dozens of 1950-70's magazine pages, lots of United cut-outs & posters, and even Jack Charlton's autograph! #lufc 😎

Anybody who has not checked in on the Leeds United Nostalgia account on the Flickr app or online since last season might be pleasantly surprised to find 'Mr Windy' has managed to upload a load more 'first time on the internet' programmes, magazines & fanzines...
