He ignored them, so they went away and returned with toffee tins half filled with stones. Using the tins as rattles, they made so much noise that Mr. Arthur England, a 63–year–old Weymouth magistrate and superintendent of the beach, approached to stop them. A crowd of holidymakers, sympathising with the children, booed Mr. England, and a sock filled with sand caught behind the ear. In the sand battle that followed the Fascists were pelted off the beach.

My favorite tried-and-true resistance tactic: Being Extremely Fucking Annoying.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.
