I have been criticised for being part of the Riyadh comedy festival. This is why I did it | Omid Djalili The headlines focus on money, but the gigs were great and I think there are different ways to achieve progress. Art, especially comedy, can be part of that, says stand-up comedian, Omid Djalili.

Little triumphs: when you’re making a cottage pie and you eyeball everything* instead of weighing ingredients and you end up with exactly the right quantities of the beef mixture and the mash to fill the dish.

*well, 500g of mince, and I eyeballed everything else.

Like I needed another timewaster.
