Time for a rewatch! A show about people doing the right thing in a multicultural world and explicitly rejecting fascism and racism, while dealing with the fact that people still make bad choices even when they're not bad people? I'm sure it's not relevant anymore.

If I had to choose I would have a preference for the sturdier type that can be eaten out of a bag at any time, so more like the top-right than the top-left

Iranian dishes (not even all of them!) cooked by happy people: the best of London, the best of shared cultures. A colourful array of food, chicken and rice, fritters, bean stew and more.

Do you know about Migrateful? Simplest and best idea in the world. People coming here with few material goods, but amazing cooking skills and stories from fascinating places. Meeting people who pay a bit for a lesson and a communal feast. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll pig out. www.migrateful.org

Adverts, interviews, Tufton Street, astroturfing, paying money to MPs and offering MPs "jobs" after they leave politics.
On top of that Trump's gang is setting up an open campaign to push their policies onto European countries.

I've seen a couple of accounts here indignant about the idea that US companies could put pressure on the UK gov to create jaywalking laws, as if that's far-fetched. US companies and right-wing campaign groups are absolutely flooding the UK with campaigns. They're pushing their views every day.

As a child in '70s and '80s I used to sit in my dad's car while he drove around with a loudspeaker on the top bellowing "Vote Labour! Vote Labour... for PROGRESS!". This is one reason other kids beat me up regularly.

Manchester Mill find the small group of Reform activists includes several with v overt prejudices. They fairly note that Goodwin can't be expected to vet them all in advance. To date, the site report he is not willing to criticise ant of it once revealed either

The image shows the Thornborough Henges, a prehistoric monument complex located in North Yorkshire. Often called the "Stonehenge of the North," it consists of three giant circular earthworks, each over 200 metres in diameter. The structures date from the Neolithic and Early Bronze Age, approximately 3500 to 2500 BC. They were part of a "ritual landscape" linked by walkways and likely used for ceremonies. The site is now managed by English Heritage and is open to the public. Image: Natural England CC BY-NC-ND 2.0

On a plateau above the River Ure in North Yorkshire stand the remarkable Thornborough Henges, three vast, identical Neolithic earthworks built around 2500 BC. Aligned north-west to south-east over more than 3 kilometres, each henge measures about 250 metres across The overall 1/6

We just found out our AI has been making up
analytics data for 3 months and I'm gonna

So we've been using an Al agent since November to
answer leadership questions about metrics. It seemed
amazing at first fast answers, detailed explanations,
everyone loved it.
I just found out it's been hallucinating numbers this
entire time.
Our VP of sales made territory decisions based on
data that didn't exist. Our CFO showed the board a
deck with fake insights. The Al was just inventing
plausible sounding percentages.
I only caught it by accident when someone asked me
to double check something. I started digging, and
holy shit, it's bad.

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

The first version of baseball *did* come from England, as did American football, which sort of split off from early rugby, so that part at least is not as daft as the rest of it. It still doesn't mean anything other than dog whistling.

While purging piles of old paperwork that we've hoarded, I find one document, a tax form I filled in after staying in the US for 4 months, that's covered in brown paper-mould splotches. The other papers in the same folder are all fine despite being packed against it for 30 years
