Pero creo siempre ha habido un cierto anglo-sajón-centrismo (no es el término más descriptivo) que es el mayor responsable de que se nos ignore. Viene aqui de fiesta, pero se traen sus artistas. ¿Cuantos DJs nacidos en Ibiza pinchan en los superclubes? Es hasta colonialista.

Ahora (y bien está) se pone mucho énfasis en la diversidad, creo que a los paises "perifericos" Europeos nos ha tocado estar un poco en medio, sin que nunca se haya hecho un esfuerzo desde fuera por valorarnos. No es la única razón, una industria local raquítica y poco profesionalizada no ayuda.

Pero no somos los únicos, precisamente en una charla en Unsound unos años después salió un gráfico con el origen de los artistas más importantes de electrónica: USA + UK se llevaban más del 40%. El este de Europa tampoco existe.

Llevo dándole vueltas a ese tema desde hace un montón. De lo poco que se exporta y lo poco que llega afuera el talento nacional. Creo que es por unas diferencias estructurales insalvables: donde está la prensa, las agencias y las promotoras. También los intereses e incentivos económicos.

Hace unos años coincidí con Andrew Rice de RA en un workshop de periodismo en el Unsound. Si no me falla la memoria, en esa epoca Andrew era el chief editor de RA. En la conversación salió el tema de España. Reconoció el "total neglect" que se hace en la prensa a la escena.
