This year the theme is PLAY! Enter your poem now, entries close on Thursday the 25th of September. Entrants will be contacted to confirm their place at the event on Thursday the 2nd October at 2pm where they will read their poem to an audience and the winner will be crowned! 👑

Budding pebble artists have created some fantastic creations to brighten up the Bootle library garden! It was lovely to see a mix of children and adults taking part. Each pebble was unique and made with such love. ❤️💮🏵️

Formby Library Gardening Club are thrilled to return to the Southport Flower Show this year! Thank you to the library staff and volunteers who helped with tending to the garden, transporting the plants and setting up the display.

The bees have returned to Bootle library! 🍯🐝🐝 Andrea Ku is an artist, beekeeper and gardener based in Liverpool. Andrea has hosted many workshops for Sefton Libraries such as Festoon Wreath and Candle Making. She is keen to raise awareness of urban biodiversity through creative projects.

Formby Library's Story and Craft session retold the classic tale of the Three Little Pigs - with drink carton houses and a Big Bad Hairdryer Wolf! 🐷🐷🐷

Smoke and Murders by J.L. Blackhurst is a fun cosy crime mystery! The first victim's charred remains are found inside a burning effigy and the second victim is killed in a locked-room. A classic whodunnit!

Where is Maghull Library?

The library is part of the Meadows complex on Hall Lane, Maghull, and is situated next to Maghull Town Hall.

Joe, our Library Officer recommends Armistead Maupin's Tales of The City series!

The series began in 1978, and follows multiple characters living in San Francisco during the exploding gay scene at the time. It's part soap opera, part almost-anthropological study of the era.
