Storm names The bods at the met office had spent all year getting creative vis a vis storms. While constrained within the A-Z naming convention They’d stretched their minds in the direction Of back stories and motivation. Not everyone would know that Tilly and Wren were sisters Or that Naoise’s winds hid raven-black hair and snow-white skin and cheeks red like calf-blood Or that Storm Mavis was named after the Coronation Street Character. But the storms would know And they would cause their destruction with more care Having been given the gift of a reason to blow.
