I also have this issue. I read fast, so if the text lengths are too short, it's like I'm reading full speed into a brick wall over and over and over again.

I've been leaning towards NVLs lately because they're less likely to have this issue, but I still overshoot all the time.

I have a video script ready to go, and I'll start filming my next Visual Novel Design tutorial after my throat heals up 🎥

I mailed a couple of packages today, and I decided to make it into a race.

I've been working on mine on + off for a few months now - I'll get a little flash of "oh, this is a type of prefix I should use" and then I'll spend a few hours at it before I remember I have more important things to do.

I like to think of it as a time-intensive hobby that isn't as expensive as others.

The narrative game conference, Narrascope, also had this policy this summer, specifically because a couple of attendees said they wouldn't be able to come without it.

I played all of the DQ games in a row, and DQXI was probably one of the easier ones to deal with. That being said, I avoided the post-game like the plague.
