Not an undercover detective. Husband, father, once-upon-a-time adventurer. I post a lot about @LFC and not enough about politics. Be excellent to each other.
PAY HIM HIS FUCKING DOUGH
04.12.2024 21:14 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0But if I’m being honest, I was only sarcastic about Love Rollercoaster.
Point Break is a cinematic masterpiece.
If you get rid of the Red Hot Chili Peppers then you’re also losing out on the surf Nazis from Point Break and their cover of Lover Rollercoaster for Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.
02.12.2024 18:53 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0To put it in perspective, if we somehow genuinely stumble twice AND get dealt diabolical refereeing for Spurs away again before New Year (meaning, a repeat of last year's results, with Leicester being the Sheffield-equivalent), we'll STILL be on 88-point form.
THAT'S how great we've been thus far.
For anyone curious, here's a comparison of our fixtures thus far with their 2023-34 equivalents. As last year’s first promoted side to host us, Luton away was used as the equivalent for this year’s Ipswich away.
2024-25: 31 pts (2.58 PPG, 98-point form)
2023-24: 27 pts (2.25 PPG, 85-point form)
Not going to lie, I'm not a fan of bot accounts revealing themselves in Twitter-level numbers AND the block feature not forcing them to unfollow you.
Please fix this, @support.bsky.team.
I've never had any time for the "we need another center-back" shouts, and I suspect I never will. Having Gomez and Quansah to help with fixture congestion and rotation in general is such a luxury.
02.12.2024 04:36 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Joe Gomez looked every bit the center-back you would expect from a club making a title charge.
All together now: we are lucky to have him. 😉
I… don’t think you can have a clear out on Bluesky. You can block people, but that doesn’t force an unfollow from them.

01.12.2024 18:36 — 👍 458 🔁 120 💬 13 📌 8Absolutely! It’s just… I don’t even recall him saying anything like this back in the summer. He’s had months to think about his assessment… and he still went with it. I mean, full marks for honesty, but my God what a take!
01.12.2024 18:33 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0I mean, utterly demoralized United sides loaded with overpaid mercenaries and managed by Solskjær got 2nd, 3rd, and 6th-place. How any ostensibly neutral professional could think this Liverpool would do worse than last year, relative to the competition available is mind-boggling to me.
01.12.2024 18:09 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I rarely have the opportunity to hear him talk about us because I usually watch our matches at the pub with friends—and it’s too loud for punditry post-match. As such, I generally catch him after watching the odd game involving other clubs. I’ve never heard something so baffling from him before.
01.12.2024 18:05 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Robbie Earle of NBC Sports just said he thought Liverpool might finish in the top 6, maybe the top 4-5, before the campaign started.
This just isn’t a serious position for a professional pundit.
This wasn’t the most emotional win we’ve had over City, or the most full-throttle. It was, however, our most comprehensive victory over them since Pep took over City. Utter dominance.
01.12.2024 17:58 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Darwin earns the adulation of the Kop with a great challenge against Doku in our penalty area.
And then attempts a not really good one at all in City’s half.
Humiliating back heel pass by Jones to start a switch in play, which concludes with him forcing a corner with his shot.
Walker has that look of a man who knows an era is likely coming to an end.
“Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning,” sings the Kop. Pep smiles wryly.
I’ve been conditioned to not want City—even this edition—to have the ball in the last few minutes. 🤷♂️
Mo hates coming off, even if there are less than 10 minutes left, including injury time.
01.12.2024 17:43 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0NO MORE OF THAT, FFS.
01.12.2024 17:42 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I just wish the second goal had come from open play.
And hey, look, a snide kick from a small man: Bernardo Silva, ladies and gentlemen.
Kavanagh and Walker arguing over the decision.
“Look, Kyle, I don’t like it any more than you do, but you haven’t exactly left me any room to do itherwise, have you?”
2-0!
Penalty!
01.12.2024 17:35 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Now Kavanagh blocks Mac Allister off from getting the ball back in City’s third. It’s getting a bit silly.
01.12.2024 17:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Doku isn’t even that good a player, but he should be an excellent substitution for City right now, precisely because of his mobility.
Kavanagh doing his best to get in the way of us playing out the back.
Virgil could’ve had a hat trick.
And Mo missed his trademark goal.
It is no exaggeration to say that City should easily be losing 4-0, even 5-0 right now. In another universe, Pep quits after this game.
It’s a crying shame that we’re not going into half time at least two goals ahead.
I hate the idea that Pep just mihht give them a sense of belief for the second half.
Salah can’t get anything today. Kicked right in front of the linesman in the 45th. Nothing doing. Him getting fouled has literally been City’s only real outlet.
01.12.2024 16:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0City have actually been trying to press somewhat for the last 2-3 minutes. Liverpool are just playing around them. Possession has only been lost by ambitious passes or through Kavanagh’s largesse toward City.
