real............................... real. sdflkhsflkh but I hope I can become stronger one day, because you're right--for many people, having voices speak up is incredibly helpful in identifying feelings they themselves may not have had the words for, so we NEED people to do it!

I'm glad--I do too!! I just wish I had the strength to speak up more. Women are subjected to insane amounts of harassment or doxxing for speaking up about these things and have been since the 2000s. More than anything, I just hope SOME meaningful change can come from all of this

So, I'll focus on what I CAN do at the individual level. I'll talk with people in my community. I'll give platform and voice and support to people who have been hurt by the systems we refuse to collectively change. I'll be kind and hope my individual actions can butterfly effect outward somehow

Ultimately, it is beyond my capabilities to convince or educate anyone who doesn't want to be. It is frustrating, because I feel deep in my chest a desire to improve the world, and sometimes I feel so powerless that there's nothing I can say or do as an individual to do that

benefit from the system, even if the wool has been pulled from the collectives' eyes, and 2) people are still too stuck experiencing cognitive dissonance with their own beliefs, many of which have been astroturfed in some shape or form, and find ways to ignore that dissonance

It has been obvious for /decades/, but even moreso now, how people in power with specific interests use art, internet culture, media, etc. to influence opinion to better fit their needs/narratives. What are we going to do about it? In earnest, probably nothing. 1) because the powers that be still-

i feel like I have a lot of thoughts about the Epstein files and how it continues to affirm many things I and other women have been saying for many, many years abt art, culture, power, etc. & yet it almost feels pointless to verbalize bcuz somehow, some way, people will find ways to handwave it away

I like it! I am still using the free ver so I have not run into any of the AI tools but I find davinci p smooth and easy to use!

Just wrapped up an in person game jam I was at this whole weekend and man... NOTHING beats the energy of a room full of creatives just making shit for the love of the craft. I really feel most alive in environments like that

I know my English isn't great, but I don't understand the difference between "homage" and being "ripped off."

people who are not artists, ie consumers of art, don't really care about the process as much as the quick dopamine hit they can get consuming it. this is also why ppl don't really like to analyze what they consume either

and i think that this is true across almost all industries if you think about it. fashion/clothing quality has dropped drastically yet is still relatively easy to consume, so people continue to consume

unfortunately i genuinely believe that most "normies" (i dont like using this word but i know what you mean) don't actually care how the product they consume is made as long as they can consume it

the thing that always really strikes me about older anime is how solid and dimensional the drawings are. i feel like we lost that in a lot of modern animation
